Bruce Arthur's story, first published in December 2008 in The National Post (p A1) and the subject of two blog postings previous to this, was picked up by The Vancouver Sun in January 2009, 20 years after the first news stories of the family's disappearance emerged from the Caribbean and became the stuff of media focus for nearly two months in Vancouver and across Canada.
